LINKIN PARK CANCELS TOUR FOLLOWING CHESTER BENNINGTON’S DEATH

In the wake of Chester Bennington’s tragic death, Linkin Park has canceled their “One More Light Tour.”

Live Nation confirmed the news and offered refunds to fans. “We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Chester Bennington,” said the concert promoter. “Refunds are available at point of purchase. Our thoughts go out to all those affected.”



“The One More Light World Tour” was slated to begin on July 27, before going across North America and Japan. The group’s final show with Bennington was earlier this month, on July 6 in Birmingham, England.

The tour came in support of Linkin Park’s latest album, One More Light, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It was the group’s sixth chart-topping LP overall.

Bennington’s body was found on July 20. The influential rock singer apparently hanged himself at a Palos Verdes Estates residence in Los Angeles. He is survived by six children from two marriages. He was 41.

Many fellow musicians and fans have mourned his death and celebrated his influence since his passing. “Literally the most impressive talent I’ve ever seen live,” wrote Rihanna. “Vocal beast! #RIPChester.”
