WIZ KHALIFA STIRS CONTROVERSY WITH FIRST PITCH

   Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa had a smoking good time, while throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at his hometown PNC Park, ahead of the Pittsburgh Pirates game against the Baltimore Orioles.

Sporting a “Legalize It” T-shirt, Khalifa took the mound and made a smoking gesture before throwing out the first pitch. Later, he appeared to smoke some weed while watching the game.

But Major League Baseball didn’t seem too enthused with Khalifa’s Mary J. celebration. The league later issued a statement, denouncing his actions, according to CBS.

“Marijuana is probated substance in all of our drug programs. It’s unfortunate this situation occurred,” said a spokesperson for the league. “The Pirates have informed us that this should not have happened.”

Wiz’s pitch was not exactly in the strike zone, falling outside of the batter’s box, but it wasn’t as wild as 50 Cent’s infamous throw. The Taylor Gang boss was seemingly satisfied with it, calling it, “The perfect pitch.”

Khalifa, who has his own strand of weed and even a game (“Weed Farm”) devoted to the subject, has long been an advocate for the legalization of marijuana. He’s also loAng been an ambassador for Pittsburgh sports teams, representing both the Pirates and Steelers with his breakout single, “Black and Yellow.”
