VIDEO: KODAK BLACK – ‘BLACK CAT (KUNTA KENTAE)’

   


Kodak Black continues his new music streak with the video for “Black Cat (Kunta Kentae),” which he co-directed with Wavylord.

Filmed inside of Kodak’s home, the clip finds him going stir crazy, waving water guns around, sitting somberly on his bed, and wearing a sweatshirt like a straightjacket. Throwing the hood above his face, Black dances around his bedroom and studio, before pointing at a page from The 48 Laws of Power.

Just like he did in the video for “Transportin,’ Kodak wears plenty of orange. He roams his empty home, picking up random objects along the way, including a laptop box, a giant decorative K, and a ski mask. “I’m focused on my future,” he raps while in his dimly-lit crib. “I ain’t dwelling on the past.”

Inspired by Roots, “Black Cat (Kunta Kentae)” arrives shortly after “1000” and “Time Never Mattered.” All of these loose singles come on the heels of Kodak’s Project Baby 2 mixtape, which is currently No. 2 on the Billboard  200.
